MACE Boherlahan Celebrate New Store Launch

Retailers Liam Maher and Santina Coyle have brought new energy to the village of Boherlahan, in Tipperary, with the opening of their brand-new MACE store in June of 2025.

Liam said, “Our customers are very happy that they don’t have to drive into larger towns, such as Thurles or Cashel, to do their weekly shop. Boherlahan is a small village, so they can walk to our shop and get everything they need. The store’s off-licence is also filling another service gap for the local community.“

This store carries a fabulous for food’s sake deli, full off-licence, Insomnia coffee, ATM, lotto, ice cream, baked goods and grocery as well as a forecourt.

Liam continued, “The shopper mindset has changed since Covid, and people are keen to support local businesses as they realise how important it is for both the local and national economy. After being derelict for many years, MACE Boherlahan is now a brand-new store, so everyone that comes into the store gets ‘the wow factor’ as soon as they enter. Our store also gives the people of Boherlahan an opportunity to sit in our small seating area to take a break, have a coffee, and socialise. Before we took over the store, there was no carpark at the side, so for people that find it hard to park in cities or towns they can now use our carpark and enter and exit the store from that side entrance.”

Liam and Santina welcomed their locally community on Saturday July 5th to celebrate their store launch with a BBQ, Tipp FM live broadcasting, facepainting, plenty of refreshments and a raffle.

Wishing them the best of luck from all at MACE!
